A friend asked me to fold him a peacock after our exams finished and, almost two months later, here he is!
A delightfully simple model from my childhood, created by the legend Yoshizawa, and I added a little embellishment in the form of crest feathers. This lovely paper I found when sorting out my bedroom last week- it was the inner layer of an envelope from Irene
Thank you for looking!
+ Two 6 x 6cm squares and a 1 x 1cm square of Irene's envelope-lining-paper
+ Final model is 7.2cm across
+ Diagrammed in Akira Yoshizawa's "Origami Tokuhon I"
*STARES AT FOR ETERNITY*

The perfect choice of paper for a peacock, and a great model! What a great use of an old envelope!
Thank you so much- I was ecstatic to find this paper!
Such pretty paper, and lovely fold!
It's so beautiful!
The pinkish background really makes the blue pop! Great peacock and great shot!
That's gorgeous, Gaby! Also, great call making a photo where you contrasted the patterns/colors of the peacock with that of the background-- beautifully composed!
Thanks so much, Diego! You've expressed in words exactly what I aimed for when I was experimenting with backgrounds and such
wonderful creation !
