This is something I've wanted to do for AGES, make a stop-motion of a piece of paper becoming some origami animal. My first animation in a very long time, and a VERY time-consuming one at that...hope you like!
(Also, I started a Tumblr this week, so that I can assemble all my paper inspiration neatly in one place. Do you ever find you have too many plans and projects in your head, and not nearly enough time to do all the things you'd like??)
+ A 10.5 x 10.5cm square of white printer paper + 73 frames + Commissions
OH MY GOODNESS This is so fantastic and amazing! So many frames... the perfect animation! I find it so magical how a simple piece of paper could turn into something so perfect! Great work and stop motion animation here!
I had a long think about which steps to show and considered actually showing the folding process instead of starting with a pre-creased square...but decided against it as I think this looks less clumsy.
You will not believe the time I spent just looking for a good, free GIF software that would output high quality animations! That's the only thing I find annoying about having a Mac, less top notch freeware.
